A Brief History

Once upon a time, the building that today houses Dutch Valley Gifts was a working barn. It has been modernized and updated into a can’t-miss, one-of-a-kind gift shop. The Dutch Valley Campus offers some of the best dining, lodging, and shopping you can find in Amish Country, and it’s located among gently rolling hills that the area is famous for. Its picturesque locale is inviting and makes it easy to want to spend an entire day on the campus alone!

The Boutique Shopper’s Paradise

On the lower level of Dutch Valley Gifts, you’ll find boutique clothing, jewelry, and accessories. The other floors are a showcase of many locally made products that visitors to the area can take home as souvenirs of their trip to Ohio’s Amish Country. Among some of the more popular items are Doyle Yoder puzzles and calendars. These items showcase the local charm and beauty Yoder is able to capture with his stunning photography.

Other favorite items at the Dutch Valley Gift Shop include Coblentz Leather Goods, handmade Amish goods, crocheted pot holders and coasters, and a variety of candles — both locally and commercially made from favorite brands, such as Swan Creek. Fans of P. Grahm Dunn, a local retailer, will notice many of their art pieces, signs, and wall art among the shelves of gift items.

One of the more popular souvenir items that many visitors love to take home with them are Amish-made brooms and hickory rocking chairs that are sprinkled throughout the campus, just waiting for you to sit and stay awhile. The very popular Inis perfume is stocked in the Dutch Valley Gifts boutique area, along with jewelry, handbags, sunglasses, perfume, lotion, and more. Here you’ll also find weather-appropriate gear, such as hats, gloves, and more.

The shop also supplies snacks and treats, many that are made locally (and make great gifts!). Confections from the famous Coblentz Chocolates can be found here, as well as dips, honey, pretzels, and popcorn.
